March has been comin’ in hot this year. It feels insanely busy and we’re only 4 days into it!
An absurd number of things have changed and moved and adjusted for our family in just the last week or so. It’s wild to think about.
And with those changes come the necessary adjustments to our family schedule and dynamic.
It almost feels like we’re back to military deployment work-ups (which, mercifully we are not having to actually do. Especially now. Because with everything going on in the world right now, I am extremely grateful my husband is retired and DONE with the Navy) and that means there are a lot of moving parts, most of which I have to manage. Dance schedules have changed and school schedules have changed and there’s the possibility my work life is about to change (more on this later…probably). It’s a lot to think about.
So I started with the first thing I could think of: finding someone to help me keep the house clean.
My husband usually does the lion’s share of deep cleaning around the house…and he honestly enjoys it most of the time. It’s cathartic and meditative for him. But with him gone as much as he’s going to be gone, we don’t want our weekends being taken up with all the cleaning that this house requires. And yeah…I could probably handle it myself, but by the time I’m done planning, shopping for, and making meals, doing part-time sub gigs, volunteering at school, running errands, and chauffering everyone to their activities, I’m spent!
So yeah. I need the help, too.
After school activities have moved around too, which means that I won’t be able to teach yoga anymore in the evenings. At least not for the rest of the school year. It’s frustrating, but also? I haven’t had any regular students since January. There’s just not a market or desire or need for my classes right now. And that’s okay. I think. Yeah. It’s fine. It’s one less thing I have to worry about in a week.
I feel like this is just a “thing” that’s happening in 2026. All astrological signs point to big changes and massive adjustments for my signs this year. I think this is the beginning of it.
And honestly? I think I’m ready.
(Oh, and also: it’s National Grammar Day which is one of my favoritest days of the year!)
